Sweet 16: Hickam’s C-17 celebrates another year in the Pacific

Rafeal Dela Sierra, 154th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron dedicated crew chief, points to tail number 5146 through the flightdeck window on the 16th anniversary of the first Hawai’i based C-17 Globemaster III arrival to Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, Hawaii, Feb. 8, 2022. The 15th Wing and 154th Hawai’i Air National guard have jointly operated and maintained the aircraft since its arrival. This frame is called Total Force Integration; Each contributing component of the TFI offers unique capabilities and strengths, and the Air Force leverages their varied capacities to meet National Military Objectives.
