JBPHH supports first Indo-Pacific aeromedical evacuation mission for COVID-19
U.S. Air Force Airmen from the 775th Expeditionary Aeromedical Evacuation Flight offload a COVID-19 positive patient from a C-17 Globemaster III July 17, 2020 at Travis Air Force Base, California. Travis Airmen transported the patient from the Indo-Pacific Command area of responsibility as part of the Air Force’s response to the COVID-19 outbreak. This transport marked the Air Force’s first TIS mission into the INDOPACOM AOR and the 18th time employing TIS units to transport COVID-19-positive passengers.
