Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency team searches for the missing
An Airman from the 15th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron walks on the flight line before a heavy rainfall at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, Hawaii, Sept. 23, 2019. The Airman was greeting a C-17 Globemaster III that had just returned from Papua New Guinea with personnel from the Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency (DPAA). The team was returning with possible remains of service members lost during WWII. DPAA’s mission is to provide the fullest possible accounting of our missing personnel to their families and the nation. (U.S. Air Force photo by Staff Sgt. Apryl Hall)
