Stay healthy this flu season
Col. Halsey Burks, 15th Wing commander, and Chief Master Sgt. Michael Cole, 15th WG command chief, receive their seasonal influenza vaccine at the 15th Medical Group Clinic, Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, Hawaii, Oct. 5, 2018. The vaccine helps prevent the virus from infecting a host and can reduce the severity of the flu. The Centers for Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommends everyone receive a flu shot before flu season starts in November because it can take up to two weeks for the body to develop the antibodies to the virus.
