CBRN Aircrew Training

Tech. Sgt. Ryan Hunt, 15th Operations Support Squadron, sprays simulated decontamination solution on Airman 1st Class Rebekah McCormack, 96th Air Refueling Squadron, during an emergency preparedness training event Sept. 5, 2014, at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, Hawaii. McCormack and other 96th ARS members participated in the chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear training that ensures they are prepared to operate in a contaminated environment. Hunt and his team from the 15th OSS and 199th Fighter Squadron aircrew flight equipment sections manned decontamination stations as part of the Aircrew Contamination Control Area, which aircrew members had to pass through to conclude the training. Note: In a real-world CBRN environment, the AFE crew would also be in individual protective equipment. (U.S. Air Force photo by Staff Sgt. Alexander Martinez)
