15th Wing opens runway to Navy aircraft
A pair of Navy P-3C Orion aircraft sit parked on the flightline at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, Hawaii, Sept. 3, 2013. The aircraft are assigned to Patrol Squadron NINE at Marine Corps Base Hawaii, which will operate temporarily out of JBPH-H while the MCBH runway undergoes renovations. During the 60-day renovation, the unit will continue to perform its primary mission of anti-submarine warfare, anti-surface warfare and intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance.
