December 7th Remembrance
Col. Johnny Roscoe, 15th Wing commander, presents Master Sgt. (ret.) Kenneth Ford a folded flag During the Hickam Field Attack Remembrance Ceremony at Hickam Field on Dec. 7, 2013. Ford was gifted the flag in recognition of his selfless service during the 1941 attack that claimed the lives of 190 Airmen and civilians. Ford, 88, was only 16 years-old at the time of the attacks and lied about his age to be able to enlist in the service at only 15. Ford was one of four survivors to attend the ceremony, which paid tribute to the fallen men and women as well as the survivors and their family members. (U.S. Air Force photo/Staff Sgt. Terri Paden)
