Hickam hosts Radford HS students for Career Day
HICKAM AIR FORCE BASE, Hawaii – Efren Valdez, 15th Services Squadron cook supervisor, teaches Radford High School student Nick Pelzl and his classmates how to calibrate a thermometer on “Career Day” here April 30. Students interested in joining the military came to Hickam AFB to see what jobs are available in the Air Force. Information sessions included “Views on Being a Mechanic for the Air Force,” “The Impact of Vehicle Maintenance to the War,” a brief overview of food service programs and what they entail, and tours of fitness, maintenance, and child development centers.
