Tree planting
HICKAM AIR FORCE BASE, Hawaii -- Honorary guest Col. Giovanni Tuck (right), 15th Airlift Wing commander, shovels soil during a tree-planting ceremony at Mokulele Elementary School May 22 while Bart Nakamoto, the school principal (left), and Colonel Tuck's wife, Susie, (center) look on. The tree planted was an la'amia (kalabash) tree, given to him as a gift at his homecoming ceremony because he is an alumnus of the school. The tree was donated by Leroy Nagasako, a Vietnam War veteran. (U.S. Air Force photo by Oscar Hernandez)
