HICKAM AIR FORCE BASE, Hawaii –Mari Villa, President of Latin Business Hawaii, the state Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, and Col. Richard McClain, 515th Air Mobility Operations Wing commander, and other guests help themselves to a Hispanic buffet at the 2009 Hispanic Heritage Luncheon Oct. 9 on the Officer’s Club lanai. Ms. Villa was the guest speaker at the event, hosted by the Hispanic Heritage Committee and the Equal Opportunity Office. The National Hispanic Heritage Month is a Defense Department-governed Special Observance celebrated annually from Sept. 15 to Oct. 15, recognizing the contributions and achievements of all Hispanic Americans to the American culture.
