HICKAM WARRIOR: Senior Airman Raul Castillo

JOINT BASE PEARL HARBOR HICKAM, Hawaii – Senior Airman Raul Castillo, 15th Operations Squadron, is this week’s Hickam Warrior. Airman Castillo oversees all repack's of over 80 back-style parachutes in the 15th Operations Group and coordinates all explosive equipment movement both turn-in and issued for more than 1,500 life sustaining equipment . “Senior Airman Castillo is a Hickam Warrior because of his dedication to his duty and his lean forward personality when dealing with any task asked of him.” said Tech. Sgt. Bobby Pickel, non-commissioned officer in charge of Aircrew Flight Equipment. “He continually leads by example and is Aircrew Flight Equipment's go to airman for any and every task. In my opinion he will one day be one of the Air Force's great leaders.” he said. “What I enjoy about my job and the Air Force besides the great places I’ve been and seen is it allows me to work on several different airframes from fighters to heavies and gives me a unique opportunity to directly assist in the survival, recovery, and rescue of our aircrews if necessary.” said Airman Castillo.
