Aug. 30 Hickam Warrior - SSgt. Derek Johnson

Staff Sgt. Derek Johnson, 15th Operations Group knowledge operations manager, is this week’s Hickam Warrior. Sergeant Johnson’s job requires him to support over 350 members throughout four squadrons installing and configuring computer hardware and software. He troubleshoots over 100 computer issues monthly. Sergeant Johnson is also his unit’s deployment manager and Air Expeditionary Force reporting tool monitor preparing Airmen to deploy to various locations all over the world. Additionally, Sergeant Johnson is a Vehicle Control Officer and is responsible for the Commander’s vehicle and serves as a focal point for all vehicles within the 15th Operations Group.
