A medical march to remember
Master Sgt. Wesley Matthews, 15th Medical Group first sergeant, monitors the progress of eight Airmen who marched more than 69 accumulated miles in their combat boots and carrying a stretcher to honor the pain and sacrifice that Americans went through 69 years ago during the attacks on Hickam Field and Pearl Harbor. On the stretcher laid the uniform of a World War II veteran, neatly displayed, holding a folded American Flag. (U.S. Air Force photo/Staff Sgt. Mike Meares)
