Local youth becomes "Pilot for a Day"

Seven year-old Jonah Kalaikai receives a little flight training from Captain Domonic Bonello of the 535th Airlift Squadron, Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, Hawaii on April 2, 2010. Jonah was invited to JBPHH to participate in the "Pilot for a Day" program as part of a partnership between Kapi'olani Medical Center and the 15th Airlift Wing to give a special day to a child that is dealing with a serious or chronic condition. Jonah was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia at age two and has been in and out of remission five times since then. (U.S. Air Force photo/Tech Sgt. Cohen A. Young)
