Hickam Field Survivor’s remains make final journey through Hickam
Airmen line Atterbury Circle on Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam to salute and pay their respects as the remains of Wilfred "Fred" Toczko, a retired Army captain and Hickam Field Survivor, pass by, Jan. 11. Toczko was assigned to the 72nd Bombardment Squadron during his time at Hickam Field. He later attended flight school and learned to fly the B-24 Liberator Bomber. During a bombing mission over Germany, he was shot down and held as a Prisoner of War until the war ended in 1945. (U.S. Air Force photo/Senior Airman Lauren Main)
