Repatriation Ceremony May 22
A formation of U.S. service members representing the U.S. Joint POW/MIA Accounting Command stand at attention during a Repatriation Ceremony May 22 at Joint Base Pearl Harbor Hickam, Hawaii, to transfer custody of 12 sets of remains to the Republic of Korea and the Ministry of National Defense for Killed in Action Recovery and Identification for further analysis. The remains of the Korean War unknowns were determined to not be U.S. service members by JPAC's Central Identification Laboratory. This is the second time in the past approximately 10 years JPAC has repatriated remains to South Korea. (U.S. Air Force photo by Captain Ben Sakrisson)
