Hawaii based Airmen deploy to RED FLAG-Alaska

Bob Wyman, an evaluator loadmaster from the 535th Airlift Squadron at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, Hawaii, carries luggage to an awaiting C-17 Globemaster III in preparation for an early morning departure to Alaska June 6 for the RED FLAG-Alaska military exercise. RED FLAG-Alaska is one of the largest international air-combat employment exercises in the world and is designed to test the specific capabilities of the military units that take part in the exercise and increase their chance of survival during actual combat.
