535th Airlift Squadron conducts airlift and refueling operations
A heavy extraction platform drops out of a C-17 Globemaster III piloted by an aircrew from the 535th Airlift Squadron July 31 over the drop zone on the island of Hawaii. During the flight, the aircrew dropped a container delivery system bundle as well as a heavy extraction platform to simulate dropping pallets of supplies to forward-deployed troops in austere locations.
