Hickam C-17 crew enables ballistic missile defense test redeployment
Ground crews at Bucholz Army Airfield, Kwajalein Atoll, U.S. Marshall Islands, position equipment from a recent ballistic missile defense system test for loading aboard an awaiting C-17 Globemaster III from the 535th Airlift Squadron at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, Hawaii, Nov. 8. The aircrew redeployed over 630-thousand pounds of equipment from the South Pacific to locations in Asia and the United States mainland over an 11 day period, flying up to 22-hours per day and covering nearly 32-thousand miles.
