Airmen prepare Freedom Tower for the holiday season
The annual week-long project of decorating Freedom Tower for the holidays at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, Hawaii, wraps up with a view of Julian Ave from approximately 160-feet in the air. Each year, Airmen and Sailors from the 647th Civil Engineering Squadron and Navy Facilities climb the steps to the top of the tower and adorn Freedom Tower with more than five-thousand holiday lights. The tower will be officially lit up for the holidays during a “tree lighting” ceremony on Nov. 30. (U.S. Air Force photo/Senior Airman Lauren Main)
