Honoring Heroes
Capt. Andy Stewart, 15th Wing commander’s Action Group, salutes a gravesite after placing an American flag and handmade lei at the top, Dec. 2, 2012, at the National Cemetery of the Pacific, at Punchbowl in Honolulu. Stewart, and nine other volunteers placed 92 flags among the 34,000 gravesites on the grounds of the cemetery to honor the men who lost their lives at Hickam Field on Dec. 7, 1941.
