Honoring Heroes

Laura McLeod, Jessie Higa and Stephanie Meares place an American flag and a lei at the headstone of a fallen Army Air Forces Airmen who was killed during the Dec. 7, 1941, attacks on Oahu at the National Cemetery of the Pacific, at Punchbowl in Honolulu, Dec. 2, 2012. Higa, a volunteer historian and president of the Hickam History Club, directed a team of volunteers to honor the men who were killed on that infamous day.
