Air Force Inspector General visits Hickam
Lt. Gen. Stephen Mueller, Air Force Inspector General, is taught how to review a cell count under a microscope Dec. 12 during a tour of 15th Wing units at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, Hawaii. Along with performing duties directed by the Air Force Secretary or the Chief of Staff, Mueller is responsible for two field operating agencies: the Air Force Inspection Agency and the Air Force Office of Special Investigations. The 15th Medical Group consists of a staff of over 250, operating on a $10-million budget and averages approximately 6,500outpatient visits, nearly 9,000 prescriptions, 3,000 Lab procedures, and 900 radiology films per month.
