Wing run highlights Sexual Assault Awareness Month

Sexual Assault Prevention and Response Program victim advocates pass out towels during the 15th Wing fun run at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, Hawaii, April 5, 2013. In honor of Sexual Assault Awareness Month, the victim advocates assembled to educate the base community on the importance of the SAPR program by passing out literature and other promotional items while cheering on their fellow service members in the monthly run. Each April, the Department of Defense observes Sexual Assault Awareness and Prevention month and commits to raising awareness and promoting the prevention of sexual violence. This year's theme, "We own it... We'll solve it... Together," emphasizes the commitment to solving the problem of sexual assault. (U.S. Air Force photo/Staff Sgt. Terri Paden)
