15th OG Change of Command

Members of the 15th Operations Group render one final salute to Col. Dan Baldessari, former 15 OG commander, after the change of commander ceremony at the Missing Man Formation on Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, Hawaii, June 21, 2013. As the new commander, incoming leader Col. Michael Merritt is charged with ensuring the combat readiness of the more than 300 personnel assigned to the group’s five operational squadrons. Additionally, he will oversee operations at the largest joint-use airfield in the United States, execute Total Force combat/peacetime C-17, KC-135 and F-22 global operations while providing C-137 and C-40 executitve airlift for the U.S. Pacific Command commander, U.S. Forces Korea commander, Pacific Air Forces commander and other senior military leaders.
