America's Revolutionary War Patriots fought hard to establish this Country and for the freedoms we still cherish today. On 15 Dec 1791 the first ten amendments to the U.S. Constitution were ratified and have since been referred to as The Bill of Rights. As proclaimed by President Roosevelt in 1941 on the 150th anniversary of their ratification, December 15th is Bill of Rights Day. In the midst of this holiday season we should all take a moment to reflect upon the sacrifices of all our Patriots in defense of our great Nation and to give thanks for our freedoms of speech, press, and religion; the people's right to keep and bear arms; the freedom of assembly; the freedom to petition; and the rights to be free of unreasonable search and seizure; cruel and unusual punishment; and compelled self-incrimination, otherwise known as the United States Bill of Rights.
