The Naval Health Clinic Hawaii and the 15th Medical Group have partnered to host this year's Influenza Prevention Campaign.  It will be held Sept. 24-26 at the Makai Recreation Center, on Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam.

Personnel from the NHCH, 15 MDG, 624th Aeromedical Staging Squadron and the Hawaii Air National Guard have offered their services to ensure total success.  The collective efforts will allow an estimated 8,000 members to process the line in only three minutes per person with minimal effect to the mission.  All active duty members are required to receive the flu vaccine by Dec., and the JBPHH Influenza Campaign, will get the prevention off to a good start before flu season.

The flu vaccine will be made available to all beneficiaries starting Oct. 1, 2013 at the NHCH and Oct. 7, 2013 at the 15 MDG.  The Joint Vaccine Working Group will administer flu vaccines at the Hickam Base Exchange on Oct. 19, 2013 from 9 am- 2 pm and at the Navy Exchange on Oct. 4 and 5 from 9 am to 2 pm.  In addition, TriCare has partnered with our local Walgreens, Long's Drugs and Target stores to provide the flu vaccine at no cost to all eligible beneficiaries, 18 years of age and older .
