Our hearts go out to "Charlie" Published Feb. 18, 2009 By Debra Straight 15 AW/IG HICKAM AIR FORCE BASE, Hawaii -- Charlie Flight, 15 SFS, began their shift under a different tune this past Valentine's Day, when an ensemble from the Honolulu Blend Show Chorus came on base to present a "singing Valentine" to their shift supervisor, MSgt John Havrilla. Mrs. Havrilla was thrilled to have her husband receive such a special treat that even included chocolates he could share with his fellow airmen. Spirits were lifted, and a good time was had by all. The Honolulu Blend Show Chorus is a female a cappella 4-part harmony Chorus which meets on Monday nights at the Fleet Reserve Association, just Outside Hickam's back gate. These ladies have participated in other Military events such as the Tripler Tree Lighting Ceremony, Joint Spouse Conference, a Hickam Community Housing Brown Bag lunch forum, and they will be part of a Health Fair luncheon to be held at Ford Island on 11 Mar sponsored by Tripler AMC.
