HICKAM WARRIOR: Airman 1st Class Tiras Cunningham Published March 4, 2010 JOINT BASE PEARL HARBOR HICKAM, Hawaii -- Airman 1st Class Tiras Cunningham, 15th Security Forces Squadron controller, is this week's Hickam Warrior. Airman Cunningham is a certified desk sergeant, a position normally reserved for noncommissioned officers. His duties and responsibilities are to dispatch mobile security forces patrols to law enforcement incidents and security violations over Hickam. He also provides complete command and control over the installation to ensure the safety of the public, neutralize the threat, and restore order. "The thing I enjoy most about my job in the Air Force is my ability to provide great customer service to our servicemember's and their spouses in our Air Force today." Airman Cunningham said. "I want to provide flawless security on our Air Force installations so our people can feel safe and accomplish their duties." During his off duty time he tries to volunteer as much as possible, especially the USO and the Tripler Army Medical Center. "His superb leadership, military bearing and technical expertise has set him apart from his peers." said Master Sgt. Jessica Sprague, 15th Security Forces Flight chief. "Airman Cunningham is a leader on and off-duty, through his involvement in various community events such as the USO. He is truly a deserving Hickam Warrior."
