  • Published
Airman 1st Class Jesse Cornell, 15th Civil Engineer Squadron, is this week's Hickam Warrior. Airman Cornell is in charge of the Facility Manager Program.

"I keep 1013 facility managers trained and informed for over 200 facilities," said Airman Cornell, who also is in charge of 150 Nextel Radios that allow communication for 14 civil engineer shops and ensure positive control of all work and maintenance being done to real property on Hickam.

In addition, he teaches Self Aid and Buddy Care to ensure members are trained for deployments.

"Airman Cornell is a Hickam Warrior on and off duty," said Staff Sgt. Ronica Werner, 15th CES. "He tackles every challenge, always strives to learn new things and excels in all he does. Airman Cornell is a model Airman in all aspects of his life. He is always volunteering and getting involved. He balances career and family flawlessly and always keeps a positive attitude!"

Airman Cornell said he enjoys his time at Hickam because "there are a lot of outdoor activities to do and the weather is great. There is also a lot of opportunity to improve myself here."

He enjoys running, working on cars, snorkeling, fishing and spending time with family. "I do a lot with the local Churches, work on cars, and I try to volunteer for things in the local community and on base," he said.
