Senior Airman Matthew Ison, 96th Air Refueling Squadron aviation resource manager, is this week's Hickam Warrior.

He is responsible for maintaining the Aviation Resource Management System database which tracks aircrew flying and training requirements.

"I ensure correct input and auditing of over 50 aircrew members training," he said. "I am also the primary individual for tracking aircrew qualifications in the 96th Air Refueling Squadron, and responsible for all mission paperwork from pre-flight to post-flight, to include accurate documentation of up to 200,000 pounds of offloaded fuel per sortie"

According to Senior Master Sgt. Dicky Hunt, 96th ARS superintendent, Airman Ison has been pivotal to the standup of the 96th ARS.

"Airman Ison was the first enlisted member assigned to the 96th ARS and has been instrumental to the unit's quick start," he said. "He has been instrumental to getting unit members in-processed quickly and up and flying in a matter of weeks. His expertise in the aviation resource management career field is beyond reproach and to date has been the most valuable enlisted member of the 96th ARS."

Airman Ison's favorite thing about being stationed in Hawaii is the golfing weather all year.

"On my off duty time, I spend it in the gym, play golf, take classes, go to the beach, learning how to play the guitar.

According to Airman Ison, he would change nothing about Hickam or the Air Force.

"The one issue I had, was the low PT standards, which have since been changed meet the ever increasing demands for a fit airmen."
