Teams from the 15th Wing and 647th Security Forces Squadron have been selected to compete in the biennial 2011 Air Mobility Command Rodeo held at Joint Base Lewis-McChord.

The three teams from the 15th Wing consist of members from the 96th Air Refueling Squadron, Aircraft Maintenance Squadron and the 535th Airlift Wing. A total of 23 members from the 15th Wing will be competing and four members from the 647th Security Forces Squadron will also compete.

The Rodeo is an Air Force-wide and multi-national competition that tests every aspect of the different teams' career fields. The events are physically and mentally challenging and include an obstacle course, combat challenges, the engines running on/off load event and air drops.

Hickam's active duty and Air National Guard units will begin training in the coming months leading up to the competition in July. Hickam also brought home the Rodeo trophy in 2007.
