The consolidated local results of the December 2012 Chief of Staff of the Air Force directed health and welfare inspection at the 15th Wing are displayed here.

The Air Force released the results of the service-wide health and welfare inspections that were completed in an effort to emphasize an environment of respect, trust and professionalism in the workplace.

Commanders inspected thousands of units at more than 100 Air Force installations, where almost 600,000 Air Force military and civilian personnel work. Commanders looked for and removed three broad categories of material: pornographic, inappropriate or offensive, or unprofessional.

In total, 32,216 items were reported throughout the Air Force. Of these, 29 were reported within 15th Wing units.

A ski-equipped LC-130 Skibird owned by the 109th Airlift Wing of the New York Air National Guard sits on the flightline Oct. 18 at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, Hawaii. The LC-130 is the polar version of the familiar C-130 cargo plane; its ski-equipped landing gear enables operation on snow or ice surfaces throughout Antarctica. The plane also has wheels for landing on prepared hard surfaces. The aircraft is the backbone of U.S. transportation within Antarctica and also provides air service between McMurdo Station, Antarctica and New Zealand.
