Transition is hard and moving away from family and friends can take a toll on all first term Airmen. The transition can be particularly trying when moving to an island. The 15th Wing’s Hanai Airman Program is designed to help our Airmen develop professionally and socially by teaming our Sky Warriors up with families & role models within the local community that can give them another avenue of support.

-Reside on the island of Oahu.
-Must be at least 28 years old.
-All applicants, whether military, DoD-affiliated or civilian, will provide a government issued identification card number (i.e. Driver’s License, State ID Card, or Passport) to verify identity and eligibility
-Parents and relatives of Airmen may apply (grandparents, aunts, uncles, brothers, sisters, and cousins).
-Military applicants: Active duty, reserve, national guard, or retired officers in the rank of Captain (O-3) and above, active duty, reserve, national guard, or retired noncommissioned officers in the rank of TSgt (E-6) and above, DoD civilians in the grade of General Schedule 5 (GS-5), and above. Friends of Hickam Council Members are eligible to be a sponsor.
-All applicants will undergo a routine background check from the information provided on the questionnaire below.
