U-2 Dragon Lady lands at JBPHH

A U-2 Dragon Lady stops on the runway at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam (JBPHH), Hawaii, Oct. 3, 2016. The jet was met by an en route recovery team (ERT) from the 9th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron. Due to the bicycle-style landing gear, the U-2 tips to one side when it comes to a complete stop. Temporary-supporting wheels are placed under the wings by the ERT, allowing it to taxi. The U-2 is transitioning through JBPHH for the first time in over two years as it moves to and from Beale Air Force Base, California. This type of movement enables warfighters to provide vital intelligence to senior Air Force and civilian leaders. (U.S. Air Force photo by Tech. Sgt Aaron Oelrich/Released)
