surf classic

KALAELOA, Hawaii -- Les "Buster" Kellum, 15th Airlift Wing multimedia manager, waxes his surf board June 20 at White Pains Beach. Kellum, a retired Air Force chief master sergeant, won in the 50 and over Open Longboard division. He was also awarded third place in the 30 and over division and fourth place in the 40 and over. Kellum has been surfing more than 30 years and continues to rides the waves because he says it keep him young. The annual surfing competition featured more than 200 active duty, guard, Reserve, retirees and their families from the Air Force, Army, Navy, Marines and Coast Guard.
