Hickam SFS members, Rodeo 2009

MCCHORD AIR FORCE BASE, Wash. -- Tech. Sgts. James Howard and Juan Felix 15th Security Forces Squadron, Hickam Air Force Base, Hawaii, finish an Air Mobility Rodeo 2009 event with fellow teammates Senior Master Sgt. Matthew Friedman and Staff Sgt. Kevin Ong (not shown). SFS specialists had to complete a course which required them to find and care for a “wounded” person, carry the litter while traversing a wooded path, take the casualty to safety, sprint to M-4 and M-9 shooting ranges, and successfully break ceramic plate targets while wearing gas masks. Hickam AFB’s team prepared for the event by doing six weeks of intense physical training including wind sprints and unconventional weight training. (U.S. Air Force photo/Staff Sgt. Carolyn Viss)
