Pictorial commemoration celebrates Hawaii's 50th anniversary of statehood
HICKAM AIR FORCE BASE, Hawaii – Col. Dean Clemons, Pacific Air Forces headquarters director of communications; his 11-year old son, Isaac; and Master Sgt. James Register, PACAF Air Postal Squadron, stamp the very first postmark cancellation for collectors Aug. 21 at the Courtyard of Heroes. In honor of Hawaii's 50th anniversary of statehood, the PACAF Air Postal Squadron issued this pictorial commemoration to honor the relationship between the U.S. Armed Forces and their host state.
