Hickam pays tribute to Airmen's storied legacy
HICKAM AIR FORCE BASE, Hawaii -- Hawaii Lieutenant Governor James ?Duke? Aiona, Jr., pays tribute to U.S. Air Force Col. (Ret.) Andrew Kowalski during the ceremony that marked the anniversary of the Dec. 7, 1941, attacks on Pearl Harbor Navy Fleet and the Army Air Corps fields of Hickam, Wheeler and Bellows. Survivors and their families from the infamous day were on hand to pay tribute to their lost brothers and sisters in arms. Wreaths and tokens of honor were laid at the base of the memorial at Atterbury Circle.
