A medical march to remember

Member s of the 15th Medical Group carries a stretcher with a uniform of a World War II Army Air Corps medical corpsman past the Hickam flagpole during a more than 14-mile march Dec. 7. Eight Medical group Airmen marched more than 69 accumulated miles in their combat boots, carrying a stretcher and weighted backpacks to honor the pain and sacrifice Americans went through 69 years ago in Hawaii. The Hickam flagpole is the same one to carry the Amercian Flag in 1941. The flag never fell, despite the Japaneseattackers best attempts. (U.S. Air Force photo/Staff Sgt. Mike Meares)
