535th Airlift Squadron begins RED FLAG-Alaska flight operations

Nick Fine, a pilot from the 535th Airlift Squadron at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, Hawaii, steers a C-17 Globemaster III aircraft through a turn during a low-level orientation flight June 11 as part of the RED FLAG-Alaska military exercise. RED FLAG-Alaska is one of the largest international air-combat employment exercises in the world and is designed to test the specific capabilities of the military units that take part in the exercise and increase their chance of survival during actual combat.
