A final journey

During his more than 20-year civil service career, Senior Master Sgt. (Ret.) Raymond Perry, worked with the Hickam fire department as a fire safety inspector. Perry was the first Hickam Field survivor from the Dec. 7, 1941, attacks on military installations on Oahu, to have his ashes spread on Hickam on Dec. 7, 2012. During his Air Force career, he was a founding member of the pararescue career field. (U.S. Air Force photo/Staff Sgt. Mike Meares)
