1/22/2010 - HICKAM AIR FORCE BASE, Hawaii -- Hickam and Naval Station Pearl Harbor will host their second Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam Open House on Jan. 26 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Hickam Air Force Base Enlisted Club.

The event is similar to one in October that attracted more than 350 Air Force and Navy visitors. Active duty people, civilians, family members and contractors are invited to learn how the merger of the two bases will affect where they work, live or play on what will soon become JBPHH.

Many of the offices and elements that will be joining will have booths at the open house staffed by personnel who can answer questions about how services and support will continue to be delivered in the future and how work processes and reporting structures might change.

A Town Hall meeting is scheduled from 1 to 2 p.m., during the Open House. U.S. Navy Capt. Richard W. Kitchens, commanding officer, Naval Station Pearl Harbor, and U.S. Air Force Col. Charles Baumgardner, commander, 15th Airlift Wing Mission Support Group, along with other senior leaders, will be on hand to field questions.
