Airmen test MCA capabilities during Operation Talon Lightning

U.S. Air Force Airmen from the 732d Air Mobility Squadron and the 735th Air Mobility Squadron, located at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson in Alaska and Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam in Hawaii, load Terminal High-Altitude Area Defense equipment onto a C-17 Globemaster III on Andersen Air Force Base, Guam, March 4, 2022. Task Force Talon deployed one THAAD launcher and supporting equipment and personnel as a THAAD Remote Launch package to Rota International Airport as part of Operation Talon Lightning. The Airmen participated as part of Nodal Lightning, an Air Mobility Command and 515th Air Mobility Operations Wing readiness exercise, demonstrating the organizations’ ability to move personnel and cargo throughout the Indo-Pacific during peacetime and wartime.
