Remembrance run concludes POW/MIA week
Master Sgt. Kurt Ward, first sergeant from the 25th Air Support Operations Squadron, runs during the 24 hour Prisoner of War and Missing In Action remembrance run on Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, Hawaii, Sept. 17, 2015. The 24 hour POW/MIA remembrance run was organized by the 25th Air Support Operations Squadron as a part of POW/MIA week and National POW/MIA Day. Every year the nation pauses on the third Friday of September to remember the sacrifices and service of prisoners of war. There are 83,344 Americans still unaccounted-for across the Defense Department. (U.S. Air Force photo by Tech. Sgt. Aaron Oelrich/Released)
